K6SE Earl Cunningham passed away on April 29, 2007
Earl was one of my best friends on topband, a special person for me.
I worked hundreds Qs with him and also stayed at his house for couple of days in 1981
and talked about 160m enthusiastically.
He was the one who made a success QSO with Japan from Alaska as KL7FRY and Texas as W5RTQ.
His shunt-feeding tower was introduced on QST etc. and made it possible to operate on 160m
for a lot of stations who almost gave up 160m.
He was technically-literate and gave us accurate advices always.
Many thanks Earl. Rest in peace. We will miss you on 160m.
